Uncoated Color Set It isn't common to see CMYK printing on uncoated stock, but Galaxy Users tend to be involved with interesting projects, and they get uncoated CMYK projects on occasion. So at the request of the Galaxy Users Group, we put this kit together. The tools are identical to the regular tools, only instead of being printed on coated stock with lamination, these are on extremely-high whiteness uncoated stock, obviously without lamination. We're very happy to have made the investment on these tools, even if only a handful of the most serious designers need them, because uncoated CMYK printing is beautiful. It has a gentle feel, an organic look that can never be obtained on coated stock. We're happy to make a contribution to the art. The key to these colors coming out right is the Press Ranger cards, so we've included five with this set. Be sure to supply your printer with them, because dot-gain is a big issue with uncoated stock, and the dynamic range of the inks varies widely depending on stock. We've also included two Uncoated Pocket Color Maps.
