WELCOME.

Galaxy Gauge 18 Imperial Our most popular tool now has improved conversion verniers, and better enlargement/reduction tool. The Galaxy Gauge 18 is the most popular new gauge with graphic designers because it does what any good tool should do; it gives you the answers you need quickly, easily, and it won’t distract you from your creative flow. Precise and affordable ... the classic. Tool Includes: points, picas, centimeters, inches, (with built-in conversion tool), bullets, rule weights, fraction to decimal conversions, leading, angles, circles, FTP clock, scan sizes, serif & san serif type sizes, screen densities, screen frequencies, linework resolutions, enlargement/reductions and precision decimal inch & millimeters. Galaxy Gauge 18 Metric Identical to the regular Galaxy Gauge 18, only this one has the metric scale on the outside edge of the gauge, and the inches scale on the inside. The point/pica scale remains in the same position. Perfect for anyone who prefers to work with metric, but still needs to convert to inches and points/picas. Galaxy Gauge Elite This 12-inch Galaxy Gauge is made for designers who prefer the smaller size, and rarely work with larger sizes. The Elite has fewer onboard tools, which makes it a less-powerful, but elegant little gauge. Some designers prefer to do most of their work with the Elite, and only grab their full-sized Galaxy Gauge when the situation demands. The Elite is also a good tool for word-processors, and casual users of office DTP software. Galaxy Pocket Gauge The Pocket Gauge is our 8-in-1, handy little buddy, that wants to be wherever you design. You really can keep it in your pocket, and it won't be worse for the wear, because it is 4.5-inches of measuring goodness which lives on sturdy, frosted Mylar. If you ever find yourself at someone else's desk, and have to hunt for a ruler, this little gem may be for you. Galaxy Ultraprecision Gauge The Ultraprecision is the nanoparticle in the Galaxy Universe. It is small enough to fit in your wallet. Pretty useless you might ask? It may be useless for working on a newspaper layout, but if you ever need to work small, it sparkles. The ultraprecision is capable of precise measurement with an accuracy surpassing every other commercially-available ruler that we've seen, and since it is manufacture-traceable to the U.S. Bureau of Standards, we can make this statement: The Ultraprecision is readable to 0.005 inch, and accurate to 0.00042 inch. Who would need such precision? Scientists armed with microscopes and magnifiers, photogrammetrists, graphic design perfectionists. Its micro type sizer and micro leading are also useful for pharmaceutical and engineering design work. Galaxy Color Map Pro We listened to Galaxy Color Map users on this one. Some of you said you wanted more colors on the main color chart ... we added them to now show CMYK combination in 20% increments. Some users wanted a pastel chart for difficult-to-match light colors, so we added that too. The CMYK Color Wheel was a hit, so we left that alone ... you can still find complements and companions to any basic color. But we know what deadlines can sometimes do to a designer's color sense, so we added the Emotional Color Mixer, that shows the emotions of the color you're interested and then helps you fine compliments in two, three or four color combinations. The Color Directory has been expanded, for all those times you need to communicate color with the "CMYK-impaired." For example, you can tell your client that you're using a Emerald, instead of expecting them to know that 100/0/50/25 is the perfect green for their job. We've also added neutrals, and rich black charts to your color tools. You'll get three Galaxy Press Ranger cards with your Color Map Pro, so when you send your job to press, your press-operator can match the ink densities to your Color Map System, and get closer to the density you expect. The Color Map System is fully-laminated for extra-long wear and color-integrity. (Store your tools away from bright light, and replace them if you suspect they may have faded.) We want to make it easier for great designers to use great color. We listened to what you wanted, and made you the best Graphic Design color tool. Rock steady. Galaxy Pocket Color Map Well, our graphic designing brothers and sisters, the Color Map Pro will not fit in your pocket. If you need color where the job takes you, try one of these puppies. The Pocket Color Map will give you CMYK breakdowns from light to dark, in the colors of Noah's rainbow. Flip it over, and the back shows you the associated emotions of all those colors. Galaxy Press Ranger After inspiration from some intense hot-sauce, we realized that the most famous Ranger of all time has to be Smokey the Bear. He roams through the forests of our imaginations and kindly asked us to prevent forest fires. Galaxy Press Ranger is something like that ... it roams through press rooms, and gently asks skilled press operators to adjust their ink settings to match your industry-tweaked Color Map System. The forest fire this Ranger prevents is the one that makes you seethe in anger when your press color densities look different from what you were expecting. Good Ranger, good. Galaxy Font I.D. 2.0 We tricked out our original Font ID and came up with release 2.0. Designers liked the original Font ID because it quickly showed them how most any font on their system would print, and it made matching typefaces much quicker and easier. Of course its popularity wasn't hurt by the fact that we gave them away. So we're doing the same thing with the steroid version; you'll get one free when you order a Gauge and a Color Map Pro. Font ID 2.0 is nearly eight times bigger than the original, with several hundred font samples, in each font's complete family range. Font ID 2.0 classifies the universe of fonts into types like Geralde, Old Style, Script and Didone. This makes matching fonts easy, just look at the face you need to match, find the identifying characteristics as shown on the front of the fully-laminated Font ID 2.0, then flick to that type class and find your font. Of course you don't absolutely need Font ID 2.0 ... another option is to spend a while paging through dusty font books, or spend even more time using a software-based font management tool to inspect every font on your drive. But for those with a prison full of fonts on their system, these are the mug-shots to have. Quick, easy, and we've already slaved for weeks straight doing the organizational work for you. Fully-laminated, precision-printed, durable, eminently useful. Galaxy Pocket Toolbox It's a little design library resource that fits in a pocket! if you design pages over a coworker's desk, solve problems in a conference room, or try to hit deadlines while on a plane over Saskatoon, then the Galaxy Pocket Toolbox is your kind of tool. We've squeezed five of our most popular pocket design tools into one handy plastic box. And while it may be a bit too wide to fit into a pair of disco pants, it will live happily in most any other small spot. When you need to take a measurement, find a color or take some digital photographs it will spring into action like a tiny Kung Fu fighter. You'll get the Pocket Gauge and the new Ultraprecision, (useful for tiny design work like engineering and pharmaceuticals). You'll also get the Pocket Color Map with CMYK colors chart and color emotions. You'll get one Press Ranger card to send along with your next print job to insure that your printer's ink densities match the colors you are expecting from your Color Map system. Finally, our new Pixel Wrench can help you 'tune-in' pleasing color from any scanner, digital camera, DV camera, or film camera. Scan the calibration charts into your computer and adjust file to correct values. Pixel Wrench also includes focus targets, a shoot i.d., and color 'guideposts' to color correct photos. Pixel Wrench is only available with the Pocket Toolbox. All of tools are precision manufactured and made for durability and color integrity.
